  • First Nations Fashion _ Design

Born in Newcastle, a small city on the coast of New South Wales, Australia, model Charlee Fraser knew little of the fashion industry when she was suddenly thrust into the global fashion scene. After being scouted at the age of 18, Charlee quickly joined IMG and became a rising star in Australia, before a breakout season at the Fall/Winter 2016 shows which cemented her place as an international star.

Fraser’s ‘star is born’ moment came when the iconic hairstylist Guido Palau chopped her long tresses into a chic bob right before she hit the Alexander Wang runway at New York Fashion Week. Charlee was immediately dubbed the “new face to know” by American Vogue and caught the eye of top casting directors. That season she walked 40 shows, including Prada, Balenciaga, Chanel, Dior, Givenchy and Céline. A proud Awabakal woman, Charlee’s success doubled as a historic moment in fashion, she was the first Indigenous Australian model to work with the international fashion houses.

Charlee went on to front campaigns for Tom Ford, Céline, Stella McCartney, Givenchy, and Giorgio Armani (among many others), being photographed by the likes of Mario Sorrenti, Mert & Marcus, and Juergen Teller. Her editorial career skyrocketed both locally and abroad, including multiple covers for the Australian and international editions of Vogue and Harper’s BAZAAR, and shoots for Dazed, W, Numero, T Magazine, American Vogue, and more. Charlee was only the third Indigenous model to appear on the cover of Australian Vogue in the titles’ 56-year history and made history again when she starred in the title’s iconic May 2022 all-Indigenous cover, alongside Elaine George, Magnolia Maymuru and Cindy Rostron.

In 2020 Charlee moved from New York City back to Australia, where she became the ambassador for First Nations Fashion + Design (FNFD), a not-for-profit organisation that aims to build an ecology of Indigenous artists and talent within the fashion industry. In December of 2020 she helped lead and produce the ‘Walking in Two Worlds’ program, in which she mentored up-and-coming Indigenous models from community, and in 2022 she accepted a role on FNFD’s board of directors. Charlee also founded the sustainability campaign NOT JUST TRENDING, unveiling the project at Australian Fashion Week in 2021. Defined by her passion for ethically sourced and produced fashion and beauty, Charlee parlayed the success of NOT JUST TRENDING into a much-downloaded sustainability guide.

In 2023, Charlee turned her eye toward acting for the first time, quickly winning significant roles in two major film productions. The first, a Warner Brothers action film, due for release in May 2024. The second, a romantic comedy distributed by Sony, set to be released in December 2023.

Charlee is also co-founder of Clearly Music, Arts & Wellness Festival, a unique annual event focusing on wellness, community, and inclusion held in Kiama, New South Wales. Charlee’s focus will be strategizing and implementing sustainable practices within the festival, overseeing every element of the event’s planning to push all sectors to adopt the most sustainable options available. The inaugural Clearly Festival will be held on Saturday November 11th 2023, and will feature acts including Xavier Rudd, Skegss, and Gretta Ray. Spanning two days, Clearly will deliver a range of opportunities for the next generation of creatives and artists.

With a singular look, a passion for advocating for her community, and a creative energy that spans from fashion to film, Charlee is a unique force in both Australia and internationally. Her star will only continue to rise

  • Marketing Manager, Nettwerk Turning Agency

When I moved to Australia nine years ago from the UK, I never expected or thought to find such a unique and driven contemporary music arts scene. In many ways, it was refreshing to see a culture where musicians and artists are so motivated to be successful and are embraced for doing so; I felt a strong sense of community. And because of this, I wanted to get amongst it and be involved with the Australian music scene.

In 2017, I started a local platform to promote local music in Canberra. After being embedded and working closely with the local music scene, MusicACT hired me as their first Program Manager where I launched their first professional development program.

At the end of 2018, I launched Turning Agency. My roster has included the likes of; The Dead Love, Columbus, Damaged Goods Club, Tamara & The Dreams, and more. Turning Agency still continues to have a roster of management and music servicing clients from across the country and is continually growing.

In 2019, I relocated to Melbourne to continue to pursue my music industry career and work at Ground Control as an assistant artist manager to Emma Louise, Kardajala Kirridarra, Robbie Miller and Buttercats. In March 2020 when COVID-19 hit, I began my collaboration with Emily Ulman and Rhiannon Atkins (Merpire) to found, create and program Isolaid Festival, Australia’s first live stream music festival. We saw a gap in the current live music market and acted and adapted immediately. At the beginning of this project, we worked with 70 artists a week and their teams.

In 2021, I began my role at the Association of Artist Managers (AAM) and still continue to work in many different music industry roles with artist management and gig booking being at my forefront. During this time I also spent a contract working on digital tour marketing for promoters such as TEG Dainty.

I now hold the role as marketing manager at Nettwerk Music Group. In my role I develop and execute long term marketing strategies for artists on our roster in collaboration with A&R, Artists/Managers, and the full Nettwerk team, leading the team in researching, planning, and execution of all marketing efforts, driving artist campaigns forward with creative and impactful ideas for music releases.

  • Hugh Cruickshank is the Founder and Director of entertainment management agency, moretocome. Current clients include artists The Terrys, Barney Cools, Brenton Thwaites, Le Shiv, Tasting with Tom more

  • THE TERRYS

Amidst a global lockdown, Gerringong locals Jacob Finch (vocals), Lukas Anderson (lead guitar) and Ben Salvatori (rhythm guitar) began teaching each other to jam in their shared trailer house, owned by landlord/legend, Terry... Many noise complaints and two additional members later Cameron Cooper (drums) and Trent Cooper (bass), Terry agreed to lend the fully formed band his name, and at last, the almighty Tezzas were born.

Since their debut single in mid 2020, The Terrys have been prolific in their releases and touring, embodying their secret sauce to life and music, "Don't think. Just do. And go with your heart.”

Having not even celebrated their first birthday, triple j dubbed the band “your new favourite surf-indie outfit” and that summed up the unstoppable storm that was brewing. Following the heavily supported singles ‘Our Paradise’ and ‘Cost The Peace’, The Terrys sold out all 12 of their debut East Coast tour shows. In September 2021, the band released their debut body of work in

The TerrySonic Mixtape which has amassed over 10 million streams and was supported by a 21 date national tour which was presented by triple j.

The impact The Terrys cult following became undeniable at the beginning of 2022, when ‘Our Paradise’ was voted in at #76 in triple j’s Hottest 100 and they were also announced as the #1 most played artist on triple j Unearthed for the year or 2021. Not bad for a completely independent band that had formed 12 months ago.

Moving at the only pace they know how, The Terrys released ‘IDK’ and ‘Waiting For You’ which were both added to triple j full rotation and heavy support from Spotify, Apple and fans alike. If they weren’t busy enough already, The Terrys also announced their inaugural Battle of the Bands competition which will give one lucky winner the chance to support them on their debut national album tour... wait what? Their highly anticipated debut album ‘True Colour’ did not disappoint racking up over four million streams in the first three months of the release, peaking at #3 in the ARIA Aus Album Charts and is currently being supported in a mammoth 32 date nationwide tour.

Infectious, fun and free-spirited is the classic Tezzas way. It’s not the streams or radio plays – it’s fulfilling their own creative urges and building a community on the foundation of music and mates in the process. It’s about not trying to appease anyone or faking who they are. It’s about reflecting on life, embracing what they’re going through and putting that to paper. It’s spinning everything into a positive learning curve and always looking for the ray of sunshine. It’s letting their true colours show and inspiring the Terrydactyls to do so too.

  • Peter Garrett will ascend the podium at Clearer Workshop on November 10. A lifelong campaigner for environmental sustainability, Garrett's keynote will address the critical task of tackling the climate crisis. He will discuss how artists, audiences, and society as a whole, can embrace a truly sustainable path as we seek to make the critical transition to clean energy and a sustainable future for our people and our planet.

Peter Garrett is one of our most prominent living Australians. The renowned activist, former politician, and lead singer of Midnight Oil is a long-time campaigner on a range of local and global issues. He served as president of the Australian Conservation Foundation for two terms, which saw significant additions to natural protected areas, and the ACF grow into Australia’s leading national environment organisation.

As Minister for the Environment, he instigated the successful historic International Court of Justice case against Japanese whaling. AsMinister for School Education, he was responsible for introducing the national curriculum and for legislating a new needs-based funding system for all Australian schools.

He is the only Australian politician to receive the ‘Leaders for a Living Planet’ award from the World Wildlife Fund and is a member of the Order of Australia for his contributions to the music industry and environment.

Following the release of Peter’s 2015 memoir “Big Blue Sky”, he turned to making music with his acclaimed debut solo album, “A Version Of Now”. In 2017 he and Midnight Oil regrouped after a 15-year absence for “The Great Circle” tour, playing 77 shows in 16 countries around the world. The band then recorded two new albums–“The Makarrata Project” (with First Nations Collaborators) and“Resist”– which each reached #1 on the ARIA charts. Across 2022, the Oils performed their final concert tour, calling for social justice and environmental sustainability.
